Marc started his martial arts journey in 1998 as a kid and has trained in multiple martial arts over the years, the most notable being Shotokan Karate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), and Krav Maga.
He currently holds the following ranks: Shotokan Karate Black Belt, Muay Thai Brown Sash, and BJJ Purple Belt.
Some of Marc’s more recent accolades include RevGear Tournament of Champions champion and TBA Classic Muay Thai World Expo silver medalist.
He enjoys learning martial arts mainly for the self-protection aspect, but also enjoys the occasional competition to gauge if what he is learning and training works in a higher-stress environment.
What Marc most enjoys about instructing is finding ways to relate concepts to students using their reference points and experiences.
He also enjoys teaching students that, while athleticism is helpful in any physical training, proper technique can help bridge some of that gap and take people even further if they already have other training.
